Money

Money is not an odd thing in our mind. We can find it surrounding us easily even it belongs to other people. All people in this world really rely on it.
For all people it is really important to have. Many people say that the person who has a lot of money is like a king that can do arbitrarily. Many people say that with money everything will be easier to get. Happiness will come if there is much money in our pocket. Money has a lot of functions. Everything we can do by using money even it is a bad thing. Money can be a human’s power. We usually hear the expression ‘money can talk’. This expression does not mean that money can speak like human being but this means that with money everything will be easier to get or money can pay everything even the prestige of human being.

Money is first of all a means of exchange. Formerly when people needed something, they exchanged it with other things called barter. For instance, they exchanged rice for fish, meat for rice and so forth. However it was hard to measure whether it was the same value as the thing that they exchanged or not. It was really difficult to find the people who needed the things that they wanted to exchange. Because of those difficulties, the people tried to look for the tool to solve the problem and finally they found the solution. It was money. Then money is being used until now. They become easy to have something. They do not need to do barter like that anymore. They just need to have money to exchange everything that they need. Everybody needs money, so it is not difficult to exchange money for things that we need. We do not need to look for people who need money because all people are in need of it.

Money is also a means of measuring the value of other things. How if there is no money and we are still doing barter like many years ago. I think it will be really difficult. It is easier to say how much money a cow costs than to say it has the same value as five goats. We are easier to say how much the lovely bag costs than to say it is the same cost as a sack of rice. So, everything sold will be easily to measure by using money.

Money is easier to bring than other things such as cows, goats and so on. It is not heavy like those things. It is just like piece of papers or bills that we can put in our pocket easily. With money we do not need to bring five goats for a cow. We just need to have enough money in our pocket then we go to market and buy a cow. It is easier, isn’t it? We can imagine that if there is no money. We go to market in purpose to buy books then we bring five goats for those books. What a terrible day it will be. We will be tired to guide the goats to get the market. And imagine that what if we are guiding our goats and on our way market we are meeting our friends. What an embarrassing thing it will be.

We can also store value with money. It will never be spoiled as fish or fruit or vegetables when they are sold. The cost of things, of course, may change as time goes on and money that you have today may be less in the future. If it loses a lot of its value, it will not be a bad means of storing value.

Finally, money is a means for making payments. You may buy a bicycle now and pay for it in five months. You just need to make a payment of one-fifth on the cost every month. This is better than buying one-fifth of a bicycle at a time and not riding it until you have bought all parts. Many shopkeepers are happy to do this for you if your credit is good. That is, if you always make your payment on time.

However, we all have to be careful to use money because money can affect us to have both good and bad things. Many people are successful because they are capable of spending money as well as possible. People have a good financial because they are diligent to save their money. On the other hand, money can affect such bad things to us. You see that there are a lot of robbers killing people because of money. Sons do not admit their parents because of it, the corruptors corrupt and even the parents are killed by their sons because of it. How important it is in human mind! Some might say no money, nothing can be done.
