conditional sentence typically consists of an if-clause (which presents
a condition) and a result clause
(main clause). For instance: ‘She will come to your party tonight if her mother
lets her go.’ ‘She will come to your
party tonight’ is a result clause while ‘if
her mother lets her go’ is if-clause
that presents a condition.
